Welcome to the Rutgers π Club |
|
The objective of π Club is primarily to instill and spread awareness, understanding and appreciation of significant numbers,
such as mathematical constants and transcendental numbers, and other mathematical concepts, to the Rutgers Student body and its
communities through its own independent projects and the networks of other groups.
The secondary initiative of π Club is to create a social context that nurtures and encourages intelligent and scientific debate,
allowing students to exercise creative and technical skills not regularly encountered in the traditional classroom or social setting.
We will accomplish these objectives as students use their educational backgrounds in conjunction with an interest in the mathematics
and sciences in cooperation with the professoriate at Rutgers.
Additionally, π Club intends to build and maintain relationships with other math and science organizations, including not only those
at Rutgers, but also at neighboring other places of higher education as well as high schools, creating a network of an exchange
of ideas to facilitate a culture of learning.
